First cricket match in St. Sofia Golf Club&Spa St. George Cricket Club Sofia and the British Embassy in Bulgaria organized the first cricket match in St. Sofia Golf Club&Spa where the winner become St. George Cricket Club. The both teams ambition is to turn that event into a tradition and to found together with St. Sofia Golf Club&Spa Cricket League in Bulgaria, attracting more and more fans of that beautiful but still not so popular sport. The expectations are in October 2010 at least four new teams to join the existing two and to be a part of the first in Bulgaria International Cricket Tournament. The cricket is an extremely famous sport in UK, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Sri Lanka. The representatives of those countries could become the founders of the traditional cricket tournaments in St. Sofia Golf Club &Spa. |
